Firearms have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and I have many years of experience with firearms of
various types. In the mid-80's I owned a Gun Shop in the Rio Grande Valley called Grizzly's Guns where I spent a great deal of
time customizing handguns. When not working on guns, I spent as much time as possible competing in various combat pistol
matches. Those days were fun!
In 1987 at the request of a local Police Chief, I attended the RGV Police Academy to become a Reserve Police Officer.
When the training for that class was over in Oct. 1987 I was very proud to recieve an award for
being the Top Gun for that class. There were many good shooters in that class and it was a close race, but night
shooting proved to be very difficult for many. I would suggest that as additional training/practice for anyone that chooses
to protect themselves.
After training I assisted the small Police Dept. of Santa Rosa, TX when
extra manpower was needed, especially when serving warrants. I worked with a great group of guys there and learned a great
deal from them. I guess it was during that time that I realized the importance, and the need, for people to protect themselves.
After moving to Corpus Christi in the early 90's I became a licensed Master by the USCG, and began my Guide Service.
Over the past 15 years I have been a full-time fishing guide as well as a hunting guide on various ranches. I guess you can
say that I take the things I love and turn them into work.
I have always been an advocate of the Second Amendment and I believe there is no more important time than now for us
to exercise our rights. It is your right to protect yourself and your loved ones, and times aren't getting any safer.
Come join us in class, and get your CHL.
